Our Story: Millo's Pastries - A Taste of Home, Crafted with Heart
Like many children, I had a dream. Mine was to become an electrical engineer, but somehow, the kitchen always felt like my peaceful sanctuary. Growing up, my mother entrusted me with dessert preparations whenever we had guests, igniting a deep love for the art of sweet creations. I vividly remember crafting mandazi, a beloved Kenyan treat like a fragrant donut, simply from taste memories, without a recipe or formal training. To my joyful surprise, they turned out perfectly.
My culinary journey truly began when I moved to Israel. I decided to pursue my passion professionally, enrolling at Estella French School of Pastries and Chocolate and later, the prestigious École Internationale de Pâtisserie in France.
I persevered, completing my studies and gaining invaluable experience working in a few of the best bakeries and hotels, further honing my skills and understanding of the industry. In 2024, my family and I embarked on a new journey, moving to the United States, and Millo's Pastries was born. Initially, I shared my creations through WhatsApp, primarily with the local community, and soon, my pastries found a home in several coffee shops.
Millo's Pastries is more than just a business; it's a dream realized. My heart's desire is to open a cozy bakery where I can share my passion with everyone. A place where each pastry and dessert, paired with a warm cup of coffee, tells a delicious story – a story of heritage, perseverance, and the sweet magic of the kitchen.
